Walmart Pro Seller Program 2026: Updated Tier Criteria, Benefits, and What to Fix First
Have you crossed 100 orders on Walmart, kept your metrics clean, and still not seen the Pro Seller badge on your listings? Walmart rebuilt the program into three tiers, added shipping speed, content and price scores, and raised the price bar to 75% for the top tier. This guide gives you the 2026 criteria table, what each score really measures, what you get at each tier and the order to fix things in.
Have you crossed 100 orders on Walmart, kept your metrics clean, and still not seen the Pro Seller badge on your listings? For a lot of marketplace sellers, that has been the story of 2026.

Walmart rebuilt the program into three tiers, added shipping speed, content and price scores, raised the price bar to 75% for the top tier, and now asks Pro Sellers for a 4.0 seller rating. The Walmart Pro Seller program is automatic, with no form and no fee, but you only move up when all ten criteria clear at once on the 5th or the 20th of the month.
Most sellers react by fixing whichever metric looks worst that day and miss the next refresh anyway. We manage Walmart and Amazon accounts for brands all over the world, and the sellers who reach Pro fastest fix the 30-day metrics first, then the catalog, then price.
Our amazon agency walks you through the exact 2026 criteria table, what each score really measures and what you get at each tier. We also cover why the fee discount is per offer, the 30-day fix-first plan, and the routine that keeps the badge through Q4.

๐ฆ TL;DR
- โThree tiers: Rising Seller, Advanced Seller, Pro Seller. Status is automatic and refreshes on the 5th and 20th of every month.
- โPro needs on-time delivery of 95% or more, cancellations of 1.5% or less, a 95% response rate, a 50% shipping speed score, 75% content quality, 75% price competitiveness, more than 100 orders in 90 days, 90 active days and a seller rating of 4.0 or higher.
- โThe referral-fee discount is earned per offer through Pro Listing Savings, not across your whole catalog.
- โYou lose status after two consecutive failed refresh cycles, not one.
- โFix in this order: response rate, cancellations, shipping speed, content, price, on-time delivery, seller rating.
What Is the Walmart Pro Seller Program in 2026?
The Pro Seller program is how Walmart Marketplace rewards sellers who deliver on time, answer customers, keep listings complete and price fairly. Meet the criteria and Walmart gives you a status automatically: Rising Seller, Advanced Seller or Pro Seller. Each step unlocks more benefits. Only the top tier gets the Pro Seller Badge shown next to your business name on every Walmart.com listing.
Walmart publishes the rules in its Pro Seller overview, last updated in September 2026. Two lines in that guide matter more than the rest: program requirements can change without notice, and Walmart can include or exclude any seller at its discretion. So the criteria below are the floor, not a guarantee.

How the Program Changed, in Four Lines
Many guides online still show the 2023 numbers, so check your source date.
Before September 2024
One badge, based on delivery defects, cancellations, listing quality and 100 orders.
September 2024
Three tiers introduced, with new shipping speed, content quality and price competitiveness scores.
September 2025
Price competitiveness became tiered at 65%, 70% and 75%, and Pro Listing rules tightened.
2026
The current guide adds a seller rating of 4.0 or higher for the Pro tier and restates the Ship with Walmart label discounts.
Why bother? Because the channel is growing fast and the badge is one of the few free levers in it. On Walmart's second-quarter fiscal 2027 earnings call in August 2026, management said US marketplace sales grew 52% year over year, with nearly half of that business now flowing through Walmart Fulfillment Services, and Walmart Connect advertising up 43%. Walmart US e-commerce net sales reached about $99.6 billion in fiscal 2026, up from $79.3 billion the year before, according to the company's annual results. Marketplace Pulse estimates put the number of active third-party sellers above 150,000.
| Walmart US marketplace sales growth, quarter ended 31 July 2026 | Share of marketplace business fulfilled through WFS in that quarter | Conversion of Pro Seller listings vs the average listing |
|---|---|---|
| +52% | ~50% | 1.7ร |
Sources: Walmart Q2 FY27 earnings call.pdf) for the sales growth and the WFS share; for the 1.7ร conversion figure, Walmart first-party data from February to April 2025, as reported by Base and other seller resources.
More sellers are arriving every quarter, so the badge matters more, not less. Even if your category sees a smaller lift than 1.7 times, a badge that says "this seller ships on time and answers you" is a conversion tool you do not have to pay for.

Book a Call TodayWalmart Pro Seller Tiers: Criteria Side by Side
Here is the table exactly as Walmart publishes it today. Scores are calculated daily in your Pro Seller dashboard; the status decision is made on the 5th and 20th.
| Metric | Rising | Advanced | Pro | What it measures |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| On-time delivery rate | 90%+ | 92.5%+ | 95%+ | Orders delivered by the Expected Delivery Date, last 90 days |
| Cancellation rate | 2.5% or less | 2.0% or less | 1.5% or less | Orders you cancelled after receiving them, last 90 days |
| Seller response rate | 90%+ | 92.5%+ | 95%+ | Customer inquiries answered within 48 hours, last 30 days |
| Shipping speed score | 5%+ | 25%+ | 50%+ | Share of your published catalog with free three-day or faster delivery |
| Content quality score | 65%+ | 70%+ | 75%+ | Average content quality across your published catalog |
| Price competitiveness score | 65%+ | 70%+ | 75%+ | Your prices against similar products on the market, last 30 days |
| Orders received | More than 100 | More than 100 | More than 100 | Completed orders in a rolling 90 days |
| Active days | 90+ | 90+ | 90+ | Days since onboarding or reinstatement |
| Seller rating | Not required | Not required | 4.0+ | Average customer rating of your Marketplace sales |
| Marketplace policies | Compliant | Compliant | Compliant | No open violations under the Seller Code of Conduct |
Three details hide in this table and catch sellers out.
Two Different Windows
Most metrics look back 90 days, but response rate and price competitiveness look back only 30. One bad week in your inbox can cost you a tier; one good month can win it back.
"Published Catalog" Includes Slow and Out-of-Stock Items
The shipping speed and content scores are averages across everything you have published. Dead listings drag you down.
Seller Rating Is Pro-Only
You can reach Advanced with any rating. The 4.0 line only matters for the badge itself.

Book a Call TodayWhat Do You Get at Each Tier? Benefits Compared
Benefits stack as you climb. Here is the current list from Walmart's guide.

| Benefit | Rising | Advanced | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ship with Walmart label discounts (up to 15% off 3-day, up to 35% off 2-day, when your promise matches your speed, if eligible) | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Faster Payouts (up to 10% more of your eligible balance early) | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Referral-fee discount on Pro Listings | No | 5% | 10% |
| Special Walmart Marketplace Capital terms, if eligible | No | Yes | Yes |
| $50 monthly Post-Purchase Reviews credit | No | Yes | Yes |
| Pro Seller Master Series invitation | No | Yes | Yes |
| $50 monthly Search Engine Marketing credit | No | No | Yes |
| Access to Flash Deals | No | No | Yes |
| Quarterly Rotating Rewards | No | No | Yes |
| Pro Seller Badge on every listing | No | No | Yes |
A few notes so you are not surprised later. The two $50 credits are issued once a month and expire after three months. Access to Flash Deals does not mean your deals get picked; submissions still go through Walmart's approval. And Capital terms depend on a separate eligibility check.
Expert Tip: Spend the Credits on the 5th
The credits are worth more than they look, but only if you use them. Put the 5th of each month in your calendar: check your tier, then spend the Post-Purchase Reviews credit on the items closest to a better rating and the SEM credit on your best converter.

Book a Call TodayPro Listing Savings: Why Not Every Order Gets the Discount
This is the most misunderstood part of the program. Sellers reach Pro, expect 10% off referral fees on everything, and then see the discount on half their orders. That is by design.
Your tier is a seller-level status. The fee discount is an offer-level reward called Pro Listing Savings. For an offer to earn it, three things must be true at once.
Condition 1: Status
You are an Advanced Seller (5%) or Pro Seller (10%).
Condition 2: Price
The offer has competitive pricing that meets or beats the market.
Condition 3: Shipping
The offer has fast and free shipping in two days or less.
The discount cannot be combined with other referral-fee discounts, and offers already in Walmart-funded incentives may not get it. Walmart decides which discount applies.
To see where you stand, open the Pro Seller dashboard and the Pro Listings tab. It shows your savings over the last 90 days, how many offers qualify, and how many are missing either competitive pricing or fast and free shipping. Walmart's own advice for closing the gap is simple: turn on the Repricer with a Competitive or External price strategy, submit an external price match on each item, and use Walmart Fulfillment Services or the TwoDay program so the shipping box is ticked.

Book a Call TodayShipping Speed and On-Time Delivery: Two Different Scores
Sellers often treat these as one thing. They are not, and they need different fixes.

Shipping Speed Score: What You Promise
It is the share of your published catalog that offers free three-day or faster delivery. It moves the moment you change shipping templates or move items to faster fulfilment. Pro needs 50%.
On-Time Delivery Rate: What You Deliver
It is the share of orders that arrived by the Expected Delivery Date, over 90 days, under Walmart's shipping and fulfillment policy. It moves slowly and punishes optimistic promises.
What to do, in order:
Clean the Catalog
Unpublish items you cannot ship fast and will not restock. They are pulling your average down for nothing.
Move Fast Movers to WFS
Walmart's fulfilment network gives you two-day delivery promises without you touching a label.
Fix Templates by Region
Three-day delivery is measured across ZIP codes. A single national template often promises two days to one coast and five to the other.
Be Honest About Handling Time
A longer promise you keep beats a shorter one you miss. On-time delivery is the slower metric to repair.
Know the Exclusions
Items over 50 pounds or priced at $10 or less are left out of the Listing Quality shipping calculation, so do not waste effort there.
One pattern we see again and again in seller forums: a seller loses the badge after a program update because out-of-stock items were suddenly counted in the shipping score. The fix was not a new carrier. It was deleting dead listings and moving the rest to WFS.

Book a Call TodayHow to Raise Your Price Competitiveness Score
This score compares your price with similar products on external marketplaces over the last 30 days. Read that again: external. Being the cheapest seller on Walmart.com is not enough if the same item is cheaper on another site, including your own Amazon listing.

Four moves lift it without cutting price everywhere.
Submit an External Price Match on Every SKU
Walmart says offers without a price match cannot meet the competitive price requirement. This is the single most skipped step.
Use the Repricer With Rules
A Competitive or External price strategy with a floor you set. Automation keeps the 30-day window healthy while you sleep.
Keep Parity With Your Own Channels
If your Amazon price is lower, you are competing with yourself. Price the two channels together.
Decide Where You Will Not Follow
Some SKUs are not worth chasing. Accept their drag on the average and win the score with the rest.
The Pricing insights dashboard in Seller Center shows where each offer stands against the market, so you can work from the biggest gaps down.
Coming From Amazon? A Quick Translation
The Pro Seller dashboard is the closest thing Walmart has to Amazon's Account Health page, but it rewards rather than polices. Amazon's Account Health Rating tells you how close you are to a problem. Walmart's tiers tell you how close you are to a reward. Both punish late shipments and cancellations, so the operational fixes carry across.

Book a Call TodayHow to Lift Your Content Quality Score Above 75%
Content quality measures your item name, description, key features and images, averaged across your published catalog. Walmart's Listing Quality guide explains the components; your job is to raise the average quickly.
Because it is an average, the fastest gains come from your worst listings, not your best.
Sort by Lowest Item-Level Score, In Stock
These are the listings dragging the catalog number, and they are selling, so the fix pays twice.
Use Listing Quality: Fix Issues
Walmart lists the missing pieces per item. Work the list rather than guessing.
Use the Bulk Attribute Editor
Item names, descriptions, key features and images can be updated for many items at once.
Fill Recommended Attributes, Not Just Required Ones
Material, size, count, compatibility. These feed both the score and search filters.
Improve Your Images
More angles, clean backgrounds, a lifestyle shot. Thin image sets are a common reason a listing stalls in the 60s.
The discipline is the same one that drives listing quality on Amazon, which is why our listing optimisation service runs the two channels from one content brief.
Expert Tip: Fix Twenty Items at a Time
Fix twenty items at a time, then wait for the next daily calculation before touching the next batch. You will see which attribute changes actually moved the score, instead of guessing across two hundred edits.

Book a Call TodayResponse Rate, Cancellations and Seller Rating
These three are about operations, not listings. They are also the ones that fall apart in Q4.
| Metric | Window | Fastest fix | Who owns it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seller response rate (95% for Pro) | 30 days | Clear the inbox today; set a 24-hour internal rule so 48 is never missed; turn on Seller app alerts; use templates for the five most common questions | Customer care |
| Cancellation rate (1.5% or less for Pro) | 90 days | Sync inventory across channels hourly; keep a buffer on fast movers; unpublish anything you cannot fulfil; cover weekends | Operations |
| Seller rating (4.0+ for Pro) | Rolling | Spend the Post-Purchase Reviews credit at Advanced; fix the product issues behind one- and two-star ratings; answer complaints before they become ratings | Owner |
Response rate is the quickest win in the whole program. It looks back only 30 days, so a clean month erases a bad one. Walmart's Customer Care policy sets the 48-hour expectation; your internal rule should be tighter.
Cancellations are slower to repair because the window is 90 days, but every cancellation is avoidable today. Most come from overselling across channels. If you sell the same stock on Amazon and Walmart, inventory sync is not optional.

Book a Call TodayWhat to Fix First: A 30-Day Plan to the Next Tier
Here is the order we use. It is built around two facts: the 30-day metrics move fastest, and status is only decided on the 5th and 20th. Aim to clear every criterion before a refresh date, then hold it through the next one.

Days 1 to 10
- โOpen the Pro Seller dashboard and write down every metric.
- โClear the inbox and set the 24-hour reply rule.
- โFix inventory sync and buffers to stop new cancellations.
- โUnpublish dead listings.
Days 11 to 20
- โRebuild shipping templates by region.
- โMove your top sellers to WFS or enrol them in TwoDay.
- โSubmit external price matches and switch on the Repricer with floors.
- โCheck the dashboard after the refresh.
Days 21 to 30
- โWork the content list: lowest in-stock items first, twenty at a time, with the Bulk Attribute Editor.
- โSpend any credits you hold.
- โReview every metric two days before the next refresh and fix what is still red.
If you are an Advanced Seller already, the plan usually comes down to three numbers: shipping speed from 25% to 50%, price competitiveness from 70% to 75%, and seller rating to 4.0. Those are the gaps to measure first.

Book a Call TodayHow Do You Lose Pro Seller Status, and How Do You Keep It?
Walmart's rule is clearer than most sellers think. You may lose your status and benefits if you fall below the criteria for two consecutive refresh cycles. One bad refresh is a warning, not a demotion. Two in a row is.
Two other ways to lose it: open policy warnings, which can block eligibility until you respond and fix the issue, and benefits paid in error, which Walmart can offset from your account without notice.
The fulfilment trend works in your favour here. With nearly half of Walmart's marketplace volume already moving through WFS, as Walmart reported for the quarter ended July 2026, the sellers you compete with for the badge are increasingly meeting the two-day promise by default. Matching that is now table stakes.
Q4 is when most sellers slip. Order volume doubles, handling times stretch, and the on-time and cancellation metrics take the hit. If you are planning for Walmart's holiday deal events, build the capacity before the traffic, not during it.
A ten-minute weekly routine keeps you safe.
Monday
Open the Pro Seller dashboard, note any metric within two points of its line.
Midweek
Check unanswered inquiries older than 24 hours and clear them.
Friday
Review stock on your top twenty items and pause anything that will run out over the weekend.
Two Days Before the 5th and 20th
A full metric review, then no risky changes until the refresh passes.
Expert Tip: Keep a One-Page Metric Log
Keep a one-page log of your ten metrics on every refresh date. After three months you will know exactly which metric slips first for your business, and that is the one to automate.

Operations
Shipping templates, WFS set-up, inventory sync across Amazon and Walmart, and a reply routine that keeps response rate above 95%.
Listings
Content quality work through Fix issues and the Bulk Attribute Editor, with the same content brief we use for your Amazon catalog.
Pricing
External price matches, Repricer rules with floors, and parity between channels.
Advertising
Once the badge is live, our Walmart advertising team puts Walmart Connect spend behind the listings that now convert better.

Conclusion
The Walmart Pro Seller program in 2026 is three tiers, ten criteria and a decision every two weeks. Nothing about it is hidden. Pull up the dashboard, find the metrics that are short, and fix them in the order that moves fastest: response rate and cancellations first, then shipping speed, content and price, then the slower on-time and rating numbers.
Do that before a refresh date, hold it through the next, and the badge takes care of itself. Keep the weekly routine and it stays.
