The problem

Why your Amazon revenue isn't your profit

Amazon makes success easy to mistake. Units move, the dashboard looks green, revenue climbs โ€” and then the disbursement statement tells you a different story.

01Leak 1 ยท Advertising

Ad spend leaking on keywords that don't convert in Canada

Most Canadian ad accounts are built from US keyword lists or tool-generated suggestions. Search volume on Amazon.ca runs substantially lower than on Amazon.com in most categories, so unvalidated, broad terms don't fail fast โ€” they bleed slowly, term by term.

02Leak 2 ยท Conversion

Listings that don't convert the traffic you paid for

Higher bids don't fix a weak retail experience. If your click-through or conversion rate lags, every ad dollar is paying rent on a listing shoppers skip โ€” main image, bullet order, A+ Content, price framing. You can buy the click. You can't buy the conversion.

03Leak 3 ยท Market fit

A US playbook running on a thinner, pricier marketplace

CAD-denominated fees, currency spread, and โ€” for a real share of buyers โ€” a French language. A campaign structure and pricing strategy that printed in US dollars doesn't automatically print in Canadian dollars.

The good news: all three are fixable, and none of them require you to become an Amazon operator. That's the job we do. The free audit shows you exactly where your margin is leaking. Get your free Amazon Profit Audit โ†’

The fee stack

The Canadian margin math (2026)

Most agencies talk about "marketplace optimization." The first thing worth optimizing is your fee stack โ€” because Amazon.ca's economics are structurally different from .com's, and most sellers have never seen the full picture in CAD.

GST/HST: who collects it, and what you still owe

Since July 2021, Amazon has acted as the "distribution platform operator" for tax purposes on Canadian marketplace sales โ€” it collects and remits GST/HST on your orders. That's a real simplification. Whether you still need to register and file depends on your GST registration status and other sales channels.

If you are registered, the GST/HST Amazon charges on your fees, ads, and fulfillment is generally recoverable as input tax credits. We handle the Amazon side and refer compliance questions to CPAs we trust.

Two things most sellers miss: the 3.5% fuel surcharge that landed in April 2026, and the peak-period calendar โ€” inventory decisions made in September determine whether Octoberโ€“January is a margin event or a margin disaster.

What we manage

What we manage for you

Three lanes. One outcome: contribution margin per order.

The lanes aren't silos โ€” they're one system. PPC funds velocity, listings convert it, account health keeps it alive, and the CAD fee math tells you what it's actually worth. That's why we report on contribution margin, not screenshots of ROAS.

Lane 01 ยท Advertise

Amazon PPC management

The problem: Campaigns built for a different market, bids set against someone else's break-even.

  • Campaign architecture across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Display
  • Keyword validation against real Amazon.ca search data โ€” not imported US lists
  • Search-term harvesting and negative-keyword discipline
  • Bid management set against your margins, not an industry average
  • Weekly optimization โ€” every change visible in your Seller Central change history
The business outcomeTACOS that moves toward a target we set with you, and ad spend that scales profitably instead of just scaling revenue.
Lane 02 ยท Optimize

Listing & conversion optimization

The problem: Traffic that arrives and doesn't buy. You're paying for visits the listing can't convert.

  • Amazon SEO built from .ca keyword data โ€” titles, bullets, backend terms
  • Main-image and CTR work
  • A+ Content that carries the sale, path to Premium A+
  • Brand Store when your catalog is large enough to use one
The business outcomeThe same traffic converts better, and organic rank builds underneath the paid traffic instead of collapsing when campaigns pause.
Lane 03 ยท Manage

Account management & health

The problem: The unglamorous 20% of Amazon that decides whether the other 80% holds.

  • Day-to-day account management in Seller Central
  • Suppressed and de-activated listing work
  • FBA coordination โ€” inbound shipments, peak-season prep
  • Account health rating monitoring
  • When something goes sideways โ€” a structured path through it, with documentation, not guesswork
The business outcomeAn account that stays eligible, in stock, and competitive while you run the rest of the business.

Why this agency

The Transparency Contract

Here are the terms we publish โ€” because almost no one in this market does.

1

Published pricing

Real ranges in Canadian dollars, on this page. Your quote is a number, not a discovery call.

2

No percentage of ad spend. No percentage of revenue.

A flat monthly fee. If our income rises when you spend more, the incentives are backwards.

3

You own everything

Your account, your campaigns, your data, your Brand Registry. We work through Seller Central user permissions โ€” access can be revoked at any time.

4

A named senior operator runs your account

Not a helpdesk, not a hand-off. You'll know their name, and you'll work with them directly.

5

Capped client count

Each senior operator manages a limited number of accounts, so your brand gets operator attention โ€” not batch processing.

6

A 30-day exit after a 90-day ramp

Ninety days is a real window to execute a plan; after that, you're never locked in.

7

You see the work

Weekly changes are visible in Seller Central's change history, and our monthly report covers what changed, why, and what's next.

8

We'll tell you when it's not worth it

If your product economics don't support profitable advertising, we'll say so before you pay for it.

How it works

Audit โ†’ 90-day plan โ†’ ongoing

No mystery. Three phases, and you watch every step in your own Seller Central.

01

Phase 1 โ€” Free Profit Audit

(5 business days)

You fill in the form, we have a short intro call, you grant read-only access, and within 5 business days you get an itemized report: ad-spend leaks, listing gaps, a .ca keyword relevance check, account-health risks, a CAD margin snapshot, and a prioritized 90-day plan. You keep the findings either way.

02

Phase 2 โ€” The 90-day plan

We don't 'fix everything on day one.' We sequence the work: conversion infrastructure first (images, listing content, A+), then the campaign rebuild, then scaling what the data proves. Every change is visible in your change history, with weekly cadence and structured check-ins at 30, 60, and 90 days.

03

Phase 3 โ€” Ongoing management

A monthly report covering what changed, why, and what's next โ€” TACOS against target, organic movement, account-health watch, and seasonal prep (Prime Day; the October 15 โ€“ January 14 fee peak). The named senior operator from Phase 1 stays the named senior operator in Phase 3.

Amazon Canada, the specifics

"Canadian Amazon" isn't a smaller version of the US business.

It's a different marketplace with different buyers, different fees, and โ€” for a real share of the market โ€” a different language. Amazon is already where Canadians shop: in an October 2025 survey of 865 shoppers, 82% held Prime.

Six facts that decide your margin on Amazon.ca

Taxes & compliance

We covered the GST/HST facilitator rules above. When you register for Amazon.ca, know which documents Amazon actually accepts โ€” a CRA Business Number for individuals, provincial business registration for named businesses. And if you also sell through your own site or other channels, your tax position is your own to manage; we'll refer you to CPAs who work with Amazon sellers specifically.

Bilingual & Quebec

Amazon.ca serves two shopper languages: English-Canada and French-Quebec. French shoppers don't scan translated English listings, and Quebec has its own packaging and labeling expectations. For brands selling into the province, that means FR/EN listings, compliance-aware content, and campaigns that target by language.

Expanding: Amazon.ca โ†” Amazon.com

US brands entering Canada: the fastest legitimate test is North America Remote Fulfillment (NARF) โ€” Amazon ships from your US FBA inventory to Canadian buyers, with import taxes collected at checkout and no Canadian stock required up front.

Canadian brands entering the US: NARF does not work in this direction. Growing into .com means US FBA inbound, the banking and entity setup that comes with it, and an advertising strategy rebuilt for a market with an order of magnitude more demand โ€” and more competition.

North America Remote Fulfillment (NARF) โ€” the direction limit

โœ“US FBA โ†’ Canadian buyers: works. Amazon ships from US inventory, import taxes collected at checkout โ€” the right way to validate Canadian demand before committing stock.
โœ•Canadian FBA โ†’ US buyers: does not work. This is the direction most Canadian brands actually need โ€” and the one most agencies get wrong.

Your ad budget is separate โ€” paid to Amazon, always. We never take a cut of it. For reference, most Canadian Amazon agencies charge roughly $1,500โ€“$10,000+ per month in management fees depending on scope and ad spend, with ad budgets on top.

Why we don't charge a percentage of ad spend

Three reasons. First, it pays us to spend more, not smarter. Second, it punishes efficiency โ€” do our job well, cut your wasted spend, and your fee mysteriously drops. Third, it makes your true cost impossible to predict. A flat fee aligns us: you only pay more when the scope of work genuinely grows.

Fit, honestly

Who this is for (and who it isn't)

Built for

  • โœ“Brands doing roughly $10K+/month (โ‰ˆ$120K+/year) on Amazon, with Amazon.ca as a core โ€” or planned โ€” marketplace
  • โœ“Owners and operators who want Amazon running well without being the bottleneck
  • โœ“Brands ready to move Amazon.ca โ†” Amazon.com with a plan, not a guess
  • โœ“Catalogs with active ad spend wanting profitable growth

Not a fit (we'll say so, and point you the right way)

  • โœ•One-off listing fixes โ€” a freelancer or a fixed-scope project is cheaper and faster
  • โœ•Anyone looking for review generation โ€” we don't promise reviews. That's against Amazon's terms
  • โœ•Hobby sellers below our revenue band โ€” a retainer's economics won't work for you
  • โœ•Businesses that want us to own the account, file their taxes, or guarantee a specific ranking

Still not sure? The Profit Audit is the cheapest way to find out either direction.

Questions we actually get

Frequently asked questions

An agency manages the parts of Amazon you don't want to run full-time: advertising (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display), listing and search optimization, account health, and the day-to-day operations in Seller Central. Our three lanes are PPC management, listing & conversion, and account management & health. What we don't do: promise reviews, file your taxes, or take ownership of your account.

Most agencies in this market charge roughly $1,500โ€“$10,000+ per month in management fees, depending on scope and ad spend โ€” with your ad budget separate, paid to Amazon. Our ranges are published in the pricing section. Your free audit includes a recommendation on which fee model fits your account.

No. Flat monthly fee, only. Percentage-based pricing pays the agency when you spend more, not when you earn more โ€” which is the exact wrong incentive for a margin problem.

Never. We work through Seller Central user permissions on a read-and-manage basis. Your account, your campaigns, your Brand Registry, your data โ€” all stay yours. Nothing is transferred, nothing is held, and access can be revoked at any time.

It depends on your category, competition, product economics, listing quality, and starting position โ€” and anyone who gives you a fixed date is selling a fantasy. What we do commit to: the audit report within 5 business days, visible campaign and listing work inside the first 30 days, and a structured 90-day window before we measure against the targets set in the plan.

Yes. Our fee math runs in CAD (including the 2026 surcharge and peak changes), we work with the GST/HST marketplace rules every day, we handle bilingual listings for Quebec, and the case studies we reference are Canadian brands. We also manage Amazon.com for the same clients.

Yes. One North America selling plan covers both marketplaces โ€” but we run Amazon.ca as its own channel: its own keyword data, its own CTR and conversion benchmarks, its own pricing logic. And if you're expanding between the two, the NARF direction limit matters.

For the right products, often yes: Canadian shoppers are already there, CPCs in many categories run below .com levels, and pricing power is generally stronger. But 'worth it' is a margin question โ€” search volume is thinner, fees are in CAD, and currency spread is real. The audit answers that question with your numbers.

A good freelancer can beat a bad agency on cost โ€” but one person is one skill set. An in-house hire costs $60Kโ€“$120K+ a year plus ramp time, and usually covers one discipline. An agency gives you a senior-led team across PPC, listing, and operations, with continuity when people move.

Read the Transparency Contract above โ€” it exists because of exactly that experience. A named senior operator, a flat fee, a 30-day exit, full account ownership, and a sample report you can inspect before you sign.

No โ€” and be suspicious of anyone who does. Amazon makes guarantees impossible: rankings, revenue, and ACOS all depend on your product, your price, your category, and your competitors. What we guarantee is the scope, the cadence, the reporting, the senior operator, and the exit terms.

Six things: (1) an ad structure review with a wasted-spend estimate, (2) a listing and conversion gap review, (3) a keyword relevance check against Amazon.ca search data, (4) an account-health risk review, (5) a CAD margin snapshot including 2026 surcharges, (6) a prioritized 90-day plan. Delivered within 5 business days.
