Best Amazon Vendor Central Management Agencies in the USA (2026): 1P Fit and Due-Diligence Checklist
When Amazon short-pays a purchase order on a Friday night, who at your agency picks it up on Monday morning? Most agency decks never answer that. This guide compares ten US agencies on what each one publicly says it owns on Vendor Central, and gives you the checklist to run before you sign anything.
When Amazon short-pays a purchase order on a Friday night, who at your agency picks it up on Monday morning? Most agency decks never answer that. They show ad results. They show pretty A+ pages. The deduction sits there, and the clock on the dispute window keeps running.

That gap matters more in 2026 than it did two years ago. Amazon has been ending smaller vendor agreements since late 2024 and nudging those brands into Seller Central, so the vendors still on 1P are the ones Amazon wants to keep, and the terms, chargebacks and purchase-order rules around them have not got any softer. Picking an Amazon Vendor Central agency now means picking a team that can run operations, not just media.
The most common mistake we see is simple: a brand hires an ads-first agency for an operations-first problem. Shortages, chargebacks, EDI errors and annual terms stay with the brand's own staff, and the agency reports ROAS while the margin leaks out the back. We manage Seller Central and Vendor Central accounts for brands all over the world, and the 1P side is where we see the most money go missing quietly.
Our amazon agency walks you through ten US agencies, what each one publicly says it owns on Vendor Central, and the checklist to run before you sign anything.

๐ฆ TL;DR
An Amazon Vendor Central agency should take purchase orders, EDI, deductions, catalog control, terms and retail media off your desk. Most agencies state three or four of those in public; few state all of them.

A vendor account rarely needs more ad spend first. Fix who owns the deductions, then use media to push what Amazon is actually reordering.

What Is an Amazon Vendor Central Agency?
An Amazon Vendor Central agency is an outside team that runs part or all of your first-party Amazon business, where you sell to Amazon and Amazon sells to the customer. It works inside the access and approval rules you set, and it should report what Amazon actually paid you, not just what shoppers bought.
What Does a Vendor Central Agency Actually Do?
It confirms and fills purchase orders, manages EDI documents, disputes shortage claims and chargebacks, keeps catalog content accurate, prepares you for annual terms negotiations and, in most cases, runs retail media. The best ones also track your net margin after Amazon's deductions, because that is the number that decides whether 1P is worth it.
How Is It Different From a Seller Central Agency?
A Seller Central agency works on FBA shipments, listings, pricing and account health. A Vendor Central agency works on purchase orders, EDI, invoices, deductions and the relationship with Amazon's vendor team. Many agencies say they do both, but the skills and the daily tasks overlap less than most agency websites suggest, so ask who on the team has actually run 1P operations.
- โ3P agency: you sell to the shopper, the agency manages your store
- โ1P agency: you sell to Amazon, the agency manages your supply relationship
- โHybrid: both at once, with a rule for which ASIN sits where
What Do Brands Get Wrong When They Hire One?
They hire for media when the problem is operations. Shortages, chargebacks, EDI errors and annual terms stay with the brand's own staff, and the agency reports ROAS while margin leaks out the back. The second mistake is believing a recovery figure without asking what the total claimed was.
Rule of Thumb: Ad Agency vs Vendor Agency
An ad agency measures ROAS. A vendor agency measures what Amazon actually paid you after deductions, chargebacks and co-op. If the sample report has no net number, you are looking at an ad agency.

Book a Call TodayWhich Vendor Central Problem Are You Hiring For?
You do not hire a Vendor Central agency. You hire a fix for one problem that is costing you money right now. Name it first, because each problem points to a different kind of partner.
| Your problem today | What you actually need | Which model fits |
|---|---|---|
| Deductions and chargebacks are eating margin | A dispute workflow, proof-of-delivery discipline and a recovery report you can audit | Specialists, or integrated agencies that name shortage claims on their site |
| You cannot forecast or fill purchase orders | Forecasting, PO confirmation rules and inventory planning tied to Amazon's buying cycle | Integrated agencies with a planning function |
| EDI and ASN errors keep triggering flags | A partner that runs EDI in-house or owns the relationship with your EDI provider | The few agencies that state EDI; worth a call |
| Annual vendor negotiations are coming up | Data preparation, net PPM by item and someone who has sat on the other side of the table | Consultants and boutique specialists |
| You got the cancellation email | A hybrid or migration plan, a sell-down schedule and a team that runs Seller Central just as well | Integrated agencies with both account types |
Expert Tip: Write Your Problem in One Sentence
Write your problem in one sentence before any sales call. "Our shortage claims are up and nobody disputes them" gets you a very different proposal than "we want to grow on Amazon." Agencies pitch to the brief you give them.

Book a Call TodayWhat Should a Vendor Central Agency Own?
A true 1P partner should be able to take twelve areas off your desk, from PO acceptance to annual terms. Use this table as your scoring sheet when you read proposals. Each row is something you should be able to hand over.
| Area | Why it matters on 1P | What to ask the agency for |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase orders and Direct Fulfillment | Unconfirmed or under-filled POs hurt your vendor scorecard and future order volume | Their PO confirmation rules and a sample PO exception log |
| EDI (850, 855, 856, 810) | ASN and invoice errors create chargebacks and payment delays | Whether EDI is in-house or via a partner, and who fixes rejected documents |
| Shortage claims and deductions | Amazon deducts first and asks later; the dispute window is finite | Their dispute workflow and a recovery report that shows the total claimed, not just the amount won |
| Chargebacks | Prep, labelling and routing failures repeat every month until the root cause is fixed | A chargeback root-cause log from a current client, with the client's name removed |
| Co-op, accruals and annual terms | Terms decide your margin for a year; data wins negotiations | How they prepare the negotiation pack and who attends |
| Catalog and retail readiness | Content control, variations and buyability affect whether Amazon reorders | How they keep content control through Brand Registry on 1P pages |
| Retail media | Sponsored Ads, DSP and AMC still drive sell-through on 1P | Who runs ads and how media reports connect to PO volume |
| Forecasting and in-stock | Out-of-stock on 1P means Amazon stops ordering, not just a lost sale | Which Retail Analytics reports they use and how often |
| Reporting | ACoS says nothing about what Amazon actually paid you | A sample monthly report showing net PPM or contribution margin |
| Hybrid 1P/3P strategy | Amazon is pushing smaller vendors to 3P; you need a plan either way | How they decide which ASINs stay 1P and which move |
| Named team and access | Agency logins on your vendor account are a risk if nobody tracks them | The named operator and an access register |
| Partner signals | Amazon Ads partner tiers and directory listings are entry tickets, not proof | Which directory lists them and in which tier (check the Amazon Ads Partner Directory yourself) |
Catalog, media and hybrid planning show up on almost every agency site. Purchase orders, EDI, shortages, chargebacks and terms are where the lists split, and those five rows decide whether an agency can run your 1P operation or only market it.

Book a Call TodayHow We Compared These Agencies
Three rules kept this list honest. Every agency has a US office or a US-led 1P team. Scope was taken only from each agency's own public pages in October 2026 and marked as stated or not stated; "not stated" means you have to ask, not that the work is missing. And no pricing or self-reported results appear here, because neither can be checked from the outside.
We left out lists that rank their own author first, agencies whose websites could not be loaded, and one well-known Seattle name whose old domain now serves unrelated content. For the broad view across Seller Central, ads and creative, read our comparison of top Amazon agencies in the USA. This page stays on the 1P question.
The 10 Best Amazon Vendor Central Agencies in the USA
Each entry has the same four parts: a short overview, the Vendor Central scope the agency states publicly, who should pick it, and one thing to check before signing. The order starts with our own team and then runs through the rest by model, not by any score.
1. GrowithAmazon

Overview: GrowithAmazon is a full-service Amazon agency with offices in the USA, UAE and UK, managing 35,000+ ASINs across eight-plus marketplaces for Seller Central and Vendor Central brands. Marketplace services are delivered for brands all over the world, with a US team for 1P accounts on Amazon.com.
Publicly stated 1P scope: purchase order management, chargeback disputes, shortage claims, catalog control and marketing management under Vendor Central management, plus a separate Vendor Central EDI integration service and a Merchant on Record option for brands that want a hybrid route.
Pick this one if: you want one team that owns 1P operations, EDI and advertising together, and you sell in more than one Amazon marketplace.
Check before signing: ask for the named operator on your account and the first-90-day plan for deductions, exactly as you would with anyone else on this list.
2. SalesDuo

Overview: New York-based agency that pairs account management with its own software. Its team includes former Amazon staff and it publishes detailed material on vendor operations.
Publicly stated 1P scope: Vendor Central management, EDI automation that validates purchase orders and prep instructions, shortage-claim handling, chargeback prevention and recovery, MAP monitoring and a business-intelligence dashboard.
Pick this one if: deductions and EDI errors are your main bleed and you want software plus people on it.
Check before signing: its scale and results figures are self-reported; ask which of them a reference client will confirm.
3. My Amazon Guy

Overview: Atlanta-based, one of the largest Amazon agencies by headcount, best known for Seller Central work and a very public training library. Its Vendor Central page was updated in September 2026.
Publicly stated 1P scope: PO tracking and inventory, Direct Fulfillment setup, chargebacks, shortage claims disputed with proof of delivery, open statements, case and dispute management, Vendor Central PPC, A+ and catalog work, and transfers from Vendor Central to Seller Central.
Pick this one if: you want a large bench behind your account and you may move some or all of your catalog to 3P later.
Check before signing: in a big team, ask who the named 1P lead is and how many vendor accounts that person carries.

Book a Call Today4. Velocity Sellers

Overview: New York agency founded in 2016 that manages Seller Central, Vendor Central and hybrid accounts, and extends to Walmart, Target Plus and TikTok Shop. Amazon Ads Verified Partner.
Publicly stated 1P scope: account operations across advertising, listings, logistics and account health for both account types, with contribution-margin style reporting rather than ad metrics alone.
Pick this one if: you already run 1P and 3P side by side and want one reporting line across both.
Check before signing: ask how the statement of work splits 1P operations from advertising hours, so deductions do not get squeezed by campaign work.
5. Marketplace Officer (CMO)

Overview: US boutique that positions itself as a fractional head of Amazon for consumer brands, with senior operators rather than junior account managers on the day-to-day.
Publicly stated 1P scope: purchase-order monitoring and confirmation, chargeback and shortage-claim disputes, vendor scorecard management, pricing compliance and margin analysis, annual cost negotiation support, buyer and vendor manager communication, content control through Brand Registry and monthly 1P reporting.
Pick this one if: the vendor relationship and annual terms are your main concern and you want a small senior team on it.
Check before signing: ask about team size and who covers your account when the lead is out.
6. Acadia (formerly Bobsled Marketing)

Overview: Bobsled Marketing, a New York Amazon consultancy for brand manufacturers, joined Acadia in 2022 and now operates as its retail media and marketplaces practice across Amazon, Walmart, Instacart and Target.
Publicly stated 1P scope: management of Vendor Central and Seller Central accounts for manufacturers, combined with retail media, plus ongoing guidance on Vendor Central reporting.
Pick this one if: Amazon 1P is one of several retail channels and you want operations and media under one larger agency.
Check before signing: confirm that daily shortage, deduction and PO work is inside the standard engagement and not treated as an add-on to media.
7. BellaVix

Overview: North Carolina boutique focused on Amazon and Walmart, with named account owners and public client reviews. Amazon Verified Partner.
Publicly stated 1P scope: dedicated Vendor Central management alongside Seller Central, Sponsored Ads, DSP and Walmart Marketplace services.
Pick this one if: you want a smaller agency where you know exactly who touches your account.
Check before signing: its Vendor Central page is lighter on PO, EDI and chargeback detail than the specialists above, so ask for the workflow in writing.

Book a Call Today8. Vertical Rail

Overview: California agency that has worked on Amazon since the early 2000s and sits inside a retail representation firm that also sells brands into Target, Best Buy, Walmart and Sam's Club. Amazon Ads Verified Partner.
Publicly stated 1P scope: management and advertising for 1P, 3P and hybrid accounts, with a merchandising and retail-planning view that comes from its brick-and-mortar side.
Pick this one if: Amazon sits next to big-box retailers in your plan and you want one partner that understands both.
Check before signing: ask how deep the Amazon-specific EDI and deduction work goes compared with the retail-rep side.
9. Channel Key

Overview: Las Vegas agency covering Amazon, Walmart and Target. It published the full text of Amazon's vendor-termination notice and a step-by-step view of the 1P to 3P sell-down process.
Publicly stated 1P scope: account management for vendor accounts, migration planning from Vendor Central to Seller Central, and advertising.
Pick this one if: you have received the cancellation notice, or you want a partner that can plan the hybrid or exit route with you.
Check before signing: ask whether ongoing Vendor Central operations are a standing service or project work around a migration.
10. Envision Horizons

Overview: New York agency founded in 2017 by a former Amazon employee, with a strong footprint in beauty and wellness and its own reporting platform, myHorizons. Amazon Ads Advanced Partner.
Publicly stated 1P scope: full-service management for vendor and seller brands, catalog and retail-readiness work, and advertising including DSP and AMC, with retail-readiness data connected to media performance.
Pick this one if: retail readiness and advertising visibility matter most and your category is beauty, health or personal care.
Check before signing: ask who handles shortages and chargebacks day to day, because the public material leans towards media and reporting.

Consultant, Integrated Agency, Specialist or Reseller?
Four very different offers hide behind the words "Amazon vendor management agency." Here is how to tell them apart and when each one makes sense.
| Model | How it works | When it fits | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consultant | A senior person advises your team, often around terms, strategy or a migration; your staff do the daily work | You have an in-house 1P team that needs direction, or one big negotiation ahead | Nobody owns the daily deductions and POs |
| Integrated agency | One team runs operations, catalog, EDI and advertising for both 1P and 3P | You want a single accountable partner and may go hybrid | Operations hours get crowded out by media unless the SOW separates them |
| Specialist | Focuses on one slice: deductions recovery, EDI, or vendor negotiations | You have one acute problem and a team for the rest | Coordination falls back on you |
| Reseller or wholesale partner | Buys your inventory and sells it on Amazon under its own account; it is not managing your Vendor Central | You want to exit 1P operations entirely and accept a wholesale margin | You lose price and channel control, and it is a different economic model, not an agency fee |
Two more notes. Large retail-media agencies with enterprise AMC practices are excellent at media and rarely want your shortage claims; treat them as a media layer, not a 1P operator. And if you want to stop running Vendor Central but keep control of your brand, a Merchant on Record arrangement, like the one in GrowithAmazon's Merchant on Record service, sits between the integrated-agency and reseller models.
Expert Tip: Ask for the Person, Not the Agency
Get the name of the operator who will own your purchase orders and deductions written into the contract, with a notice period if that person changes. Agency reputations are built by people who may no longer be there.

Book a Call TodayHow to Vet a Vendor Central Agency in 7 Steps
Due diligence on a 1P partner takes about an hour and comes down to seven documents. Any serious Amazon Vendor Central agency can produce each one from a current client with the name removed. Request them in this order.
Step 1: Request a Sample PO Exception Log
It shows how the agency tracks unconfirmed, under-filled and cancelled purchase orders week by week. If the log does not exist, nobody is watching your fill rate.
Step 2: Ask for a Deduction Recovery Report With the Denominator
You want three numbers: total claimed against the client, total disputed, total recovered. A win amount on its own means nothing.
Step 3: Review a Chargeback Root-Cause Log
Look for which chargeback codes repeated, what changed in prep, labelling or routing, and whether the code stopped. Recovery is nice; prevention is where the money is.
Step 4: Get the Access Register
Every person who will hold a login on your vendor account, with roles and a removal process. Agency logins nobody tracks are the quietest risk on 1P.
Step 5: Read the Statement-of-Work Boundaries
Which hours go to 1P operations, which to 3P, which to advertising, and what is out of scope. This is where deductions get squeezed by campaign work if nobody writes it down.
Step 6: Check a Sample Monthly Report
It should show net PPM or contribution margin, not just sales and ad metrics. If every chart is about ads, go back to the rule of thumb above.
Step 7: Confirm Exit and Data-Handover Terms
Who owns the reports, the EDI setup and the ad accounts when you leave. Agree this while everyone is still friendly.
Twelve Questions to Ask on the Call
- 1.Who owns shortage-claim disputes on our account, and how do you track the dispute window on each one?
- 2.Do you run EDI in-house or through a partner, and who fixes a rejected ASN at 4 p.m. on a Friday?
- 3.How do you decide whether to confirm a purchase order we cannot fully fill?
- 4.What do you do in the first 30 days on a new vendor account?
- 5.How do you prepare for annual vendor negotiations, and who attends the calls?
- 6.Which Retail Analytics reports do you use for forecasting, and how often do you refresh them?
- 7.How do you keep content control on our 1P detail pages?
- 8.How do you connect advertising spend to purchase-order volume in your reporting?
- 9.What happens to our plan if Amazon cancels our vendor agreement?
- 10.How many vendor accounts does our named operator handle?
- 11.Which of your case-study results will a client confirm on a reference call?
- 12.What is not included, and what triggers extra fees?
Red Flags in a Vendor Central Proposal
| Red flag | Why it matters on 1P | What to ask instead |
|---|---|---|
| A recovery figure with no total claimed | You cannot tell whether they recovered most of your money or a fraction of it | What was claimed, disputed and recovered in the same period? |
| Only ad metrics in the sample report | ROAS says nothing about deductions, co-op or what Amazon paid | Where is net PPM on this report? |
| No named operator | The people selling are rarely the people disputing your shortages | Who runs our account daily, and how many accounts do they carry? |
| EDI described as "handled" with no detail | Rejected ASNs turn into chargebacks within days | In-house or partner, and who fixes a rejected 856? |
| Long lock-in without exit terms | Your EDI setup and reports can become hostage | What do we take with us if we leave? |
If you want a general version of this process for any kind of Amazon partner, our guide on how to hire an Amazon account management agency covers contracts, reporting and red flags in more depth.

Book a Call TodayWhat Should the First 90 Days Look Like?
Give any new Vendor Central engagement one full quarter before you judge it, and know what each month should produce. The first month usually goes on access, audits and clearing old deductions. By the end of month three you should see fewer repeat chargeback codes, a cleaner PO fill rate and a monthly report that shows net PPM.
| Period | What the agency should deliver | What you should see |
|---|---|---|
| Weeks 1 to 4 | Access set up and logged, open shortage claims and chargebacks pulled, PO fill rate baseline, old disputes filed before windows close | A baseline report with the total claimed against you |
| Days 30 to 60 | Root-cause fixes on repeating chargeback codes, EDI exceptions cleared, catalog and retail-readiness issues worked through | Repeat codes starting to drop; fewer rejected documents |
| Days 60 to 90 | Forecast and PO confirmation rules in place, media connected to reorder volume, first net PPM report | A monthly report you can take to your CFO |
If those three things are not visible by day 90, revisit the statement of work and the named operator before you revisit the budget.

Book a Call TodayShould You Stay on Vendor Central at All in 2026?
This question comes before the agency question, and a good agency will ask it on the first call. Since late 2024 Amazon has sent termination notices to many smaller vendors, telling them it will stop sourcing their products and inviting them to sell through Seller Central instead; Channel Key published the notice in full on its own site. Amazon has not said publicly where the line sits, but the direction is clear: direct vendor relationships for the brands it considers strategic, and 3P for the rest.
Stay 1P If the Numbers Still Work
Your purchase orders are steady, your net PPM after deductions and co-op still beats what you would earn on 3P after FBA fees, and Amazon has a vendor manager who answers you.
Go Hybrid If the Catalog Is Split
Some ASINs sell well on 1P while others get thin orders or no reorders. Keep the strong ones on Vendor Central and move the rest to Seller Central, where you control price and stock.
Move to 3P If the Notice Has Arrived
Or if your 1P margin only works because nobody has counted the deductions properly. Plan the sell-down period, because Amazon keeps selling its remaining stock before your 3P offers win the Buy Box.
Whichever route you choose, hire the agency for that route. A pure 1P specialist is the wrong partner for a brand that will be mostly 3P in a year, and an ads-led team is the wrong partner for a brand that is staying 1P with a deductions problem.

Conclusion
The best Amazon Vendor Central agency for you is the one that can prove it owns the five hard parts: purchase orders, EDI, shortage claims, chargebacks and terms. Everyone on this list states catalog and media. Only a few state all five, and the ones that do will not mind showing you the documents.
Start with your one-sentence problem. Decide if you are staying 1P, going hybrid or leaving. Then run the seven steps and twelve questions with two or three agencies from this list. You will know within a week who runs vendor operations and who only talks about them.
If you want that first conversation to start with your real numbers instead of a sales deck, request a Vendor Central audit and bring the result to every agency you shortlist, including us.
