Amazon Extends New Selection Program Enrollment to 31 March 2027
Amazon Seller Central announcement: 28 October 2026
Amazon has pushed the enrollment deadline for the FBA New Selection Program 2026 out to 31 March 2027. For anyone planning a product launch into FBA in the next two quarters, this is the single most valuable set of fee concessions Amazon currently offers β and the extension means a Q1 2027 launch can still qualify.
1. What the Programme Actually Gives You
The benefits attach to eligible new-to-FBA parent ASINs, and they are tiered by unit volume rather than by time alone.
| Benefit | What you get | Scope |
|---|---|---|
| Referral fee cap | Capped at 10% | First 100 units |
| Referral fee cap | Capped at 5% | Next 100 units |
| Storage | Free | First 200 units, 120 days |
| Customer returns | Free | First 200 units, 120 days |
| Liquidations | Free | First 200 units, 120 days |
| Low-inventory-level fee | Not charged | First 200 units, 120 days |
| Storage utilisation surcharge | Not charged | First 200 units, 120 days |
| Coupon credits | $50 in coupon variable fee credits | Within 60 days of a buyable offer going live |
| Vine credits | $75 in Vine enrollment fee credits | Within 60 days of a buyable offer going live |
The two credit lines are the ones most often wasted. They expire on a 60-day clock that starts when your offer becomes buyable β not when you enroll, and not when you first ship. A launch that slips six weeks past go-live has already burned most of that window.
2. Who Qualifies
- A Professional selling plan.
- A trailing six-month IPI score of 300 or above, where your account has an assigned score.
- Branded parent ASINs that are genuinely new to FBA β no FBA shipment in the past 12 months, by any seller.
That last condition is stricter than it reads. βNo FBA shipment by any sellerβ means a parent ASIN someone else sent into FBA last year does not qualify for you now. If you are launching onto an existing listing rather than creating one, check before you plan the economics around capped referral fees.
3. The Restriction That Catches People
New Selection cannot be combined with New Seller Incentives. If you are a genuinely new seller, you are choosing between two packages rather than stacking them, and the right answer depends on how many units you expect to move in the first 200.
Run the arithmetic on your own numbers before enrolling. A high-ASP product that sells through 200 units quickly extracts far more from the capped referral fee than a low-ASP product that takes two quarters to get there.
4. If You Were Moved From the Previous Programme
Sellers transitioned from the earlier version of the programme keep their benefits through 31 March 2027. To continue past that date, you have to accept the updated programme terms.
This is the quiet action item in the announcement. Nothing breaks on the day the terms change; benefits simply stop renewing for accounts that never clicked accept. Check your enrollment status in Seller Central now rather than discovering it in April.
5. What to Do Now
- Open Seller Central and confirm your enrollment status, and whether updated terms are waiting to be accepted.
- List the parent ASINs you plan to launch before 31 March 2027 and verify each is new to FBA.
- Keep your trailing six-month IPI at or above 300 by clearing excess and stranded inventory ahead of the launch, not after it.
- Diarise the 60-day coupon and Vine credit window from the date each offer goes buyable.
- If you are eligible for New Seller Incentives, model both packages against your expected first-200-unit velocity before choosing.
Planning a Launch Before March 2027?
Our Amazon agency can model New Selection against New Seller Incentives for your catalogue, keep your IPI above the gate and make sure the coupon and Vine credits are used inside the window.
